On September 3, 2025, Barrett addressed the ongoing investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s files. He stated, "From the beginning, I have supported and demanded the release of the Epstein files. The resolution that passed today will expedite the release of all documents subpoenaed in a bipartisan vote of the Oversight Committee, meaning new documents and evidence will be brought to light".

Two days later, on September 5, 2025, Barrett highlighted a new tax policy benefiting Michigan families purchasing American-made vehicles. He wrote, "When buying a new, American-made vehicle, Michigan families can now deduct interest payments on their taxes and save hundreds every year.
