State Representative Cam Cavitt | Michigan House Republicans
State Representative Cam Cavitt, a Republican from Cheboygan, has announced new dates for his local office hours in Indian River and Fairview. The meetings, originally scheduled for September, were postponed because of ongoing budget negotiations in Lansing.
“While I’m always disappointed to have to delay meeting with community members, I have to be in Lansing as we near the Oct. 1 deadline to pass a state budget,” Cavitt said. “It’s my job to ensure that Northeast Michigan gets a fair shake in whatever budget deal we come up with; if I’m not in the room, I can’t make that happen.”
The rescheduled office hours will take place on Friday, October 24 and Monday, October 27. No appointments are required for those wishing to attend. Constituents who cannot participate in person can contact Cavitt’s Lansing office by phone at (517) 373-0833 or by email.
Cavitt serves the 106th House District, which covers Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency, Presque Isle counties and parts of Oscoda and Cheboygan counties in Northern Michigan.
