Routine inspections of the Portage Lake Lift Bridge, which connects Houghton and Hancock, have been postponed. The inspections were originally scheduled for next week.
According to officials, a new timetable for the inspections will be announced in the future. Until then, there will be no lane closures or restrictions on bridge lifts.
