The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has granted Comcast a permit to conduct utility work on I-496 at Grand Avenue in Lansing. The scheduled work will take place early Sunday morning, October 19, from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m.

During this period, intermittent lane closures will occur in both directions on I-496 at Grand Avenue. The Michigan State Police will oversee traffic control throughout the operation. Motorists traveling through the area should anticipate possible delays.

According to MDOT, "Closing the lanes will ensure the safety of utility workers and motorists."

The project is set within Ingham County and affects one of Lansing’s main highways.
