The U.S. Chamber is considering ways to challenge a new Presidential Proclamation that imposes a $100,000 fee on H-1B visas. The organization is seeking feedback from small and mid-sized businesses about the difficulties this fee presents for their operations.

The fee, which was implemented on September 21, is anticipated to make it harder for employers to hire highly educated foreign workers. It may also limit access to necessary talent and increase costs for companies working in an already competitive market.

Businesses interested in providing input about how the Presidential Proclamation affects them are encouraged to contact Wendy Block at wblock@michamber.com.
