The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced upcoming ramp closures on I-496 at Creyts Road in Eaton County. Starting at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, eastbound I-496 Exit 1 to Creyts Road will be closed. This closure is scheduled to last until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6.

Additionally, the entrance ramp from Creyts Road to westbound I-496 will be closed for a shorter period, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., also beginning Thursday, Oct. 30.

These closures are necessary for pavement warranty work in the area near Lansing and are intended to increase safety for motorists and extend the lifespan of the roadway.

Motorists traveling through this area should anticipate delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes during these times.

" This project will increase safety for motorists and extend the lifespan of the roadway," according to MDOT.
