The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced a change in the schedule for pavement warranty work on I-496 in Eaton County. The closure of eastbound I-496 Exit 1 to Creyts Road, initially planned for October 30, will now take place from 6 a.m. Monday, November 3, until 7 p.m. Monday, November 10.
Meanwhile, the closure of the Creyts Road entrance ramp to westbound I-496 remains set for Thursday, October 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Motorists traveling through the Lansing area should be prepared for delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes during these times.
According to MDOT, "This project will increase safety for motorists and extend the lifespan of the roadway."
The work is part of ongoing efforts by MDOT to maintain road infrastructure and improve travel conditions across Michigan.
