Schoolcraft College president Conway A. Jeffress Jr. donates $250 to Debbie Stabenow's campaign

Conway A. Jeffress Jr., a president at Schoolcraft College, donated $250 to Democratic Party candidate Debbie Stabenow, according to the Federal Election Commission.

According to records, there have been $6,126 in campaign contributions made by individuals affiliated with Schoolcraft College as of November 3. Approximately 91.6 percent, or $5,611, of these contributions were made to Democratic Party candidates and committees.

Michelle T. Randall's contribution of $3,548 to Democratic Party Gary Peters was the largest contribution made by someone affiliated with Schoolcraft College since January 1, 2019.

According to an Inside Higher Ed analysis of federal elections data, individuals that were affiliated with colleges and universities have donated five times more money to Joe Biden than to President Trump. A study by Pew Research in 2017 found that 58 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents thought colleges and universities have a negative impact on the way things are going in this country.
