Michigan Board of Canvassers Member Norm Shinkle is reporting severe harassment after being the only member of the board to abstain from voting to certify the election.

In an interview with Newsmax, Shinkle said the blowback has been fierce and that he has received “a whole string of anonymous calls threatening my family and me, and 20 to 30 protesters on my front lawn Saturday night.”

Shinkle said he was holding out for evidence promised by Rudy Giuliani’s team who is leading the legal fight for the Trump campaign.

“I was ‘Dr. Evil’ to the left wing,” Shinkle told Newsmax.

The other four members of the board voted to certify the vote.

“The mentality here was ‘whoever threatens the most wins,’” Shinkle told Newsmax.

The move comes days after the results in Wayne County failed to be certified by two GOP board members due to reported irregularities in the elections process. Those board members later changed their votes to certify the election. Both report to have been subjected to death threats.

Following reports of irregularities on Election Day, the Great Lakes Justice Center filed a lawsuit against the state after a City of Detroit worker said in an affidavit that she had been instructed to improperly insert information into the system.

“I was told to alter the information in the QVF to falsely show that the absentee ballots had been received in time to be valid,” Jessy Jacob said in the Nov. 7 affidavit. “I estimate this was done to thousands of ballots.”

Poll watchers also alleged widespread abuse.

However, that case and subsequent challenges by the Trump campaign and its supporters have failed.
