The Amistad Project is asking the state Supreme Court to seize all proof of voting irregularities regarding the 2020 General Election and declare the results invalid due to unlawful conduct.

The project, which is part of the Thomas More Society, has done extensive investigations into the election and discovered multiple violations by Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, as well as election officials.

“In numerous instances, state and local officials brazenly violated election laws in order to advance a partisan political agenda,” Director of The Amistad Project Phill Kline said in a news release. “The pattern of lawlessness was so pervasive and widespread that it deprived the people of Michigan of a free and fair election, throwing the integrity of the entire process into question.”

The lawsuit alleges that Benson and officials disenfranchised millions of voters when they failed to provide them equal protection and due process. It alleges that Benson and election officials bypassed the state legislature with its absentee voting process, which was designed to minimize risk and fraud.

The suit claims that by sending unsolicited absentee voting applications to voters, Benson violated provisions of the state’s election laws.

The Amistad Project found that courts have consistently found that mail-in ballots are susceptible to fraud. It claims Benson’s establishment of an online absentee ballot applications process also went against statutory authority and allowed for less-secure absentee voting.

Affidavits the project obtained layout that election workers were counting ballots of individuals who were not on voter rolls and failed to verify signatures. They also backdated absentee ballots.

The lawsuit alleges that many election workers were paid by grants from an organization that was funded by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

The project is seeking for the state Supreme Court to investigate the claims of irregularity and fraud and determine which votes are valid.
