The City of Owosso is recruiting for the position of Fire Fighter/Paramedic to join our professional fire department team.  This skilled position responds under emergency conditions to protect life, property, and the environment from fire and the release of hazardous and toxic materials; as well as providing rescue and emergency medical services at an advanced level to save and protect life.  The position is full-time and is not Safer-Grant funded.  Must have a minimum: State of Michigan certification as Fire Fighter I and II, EMT certification, high school diploma or GED and a current driver’s license.  Advanced Life Support Paramedic State Certification and Associates degree is preferred.  Annual base salary starting at $48,600 with excellent fringe benefits (medical, dental, vision, paid time off, life insurance, pension plan, etc.).  Paramedics receive a $2,500/year bonus after one year of service.

2. Current State of MI Firefighter II Certificate; and

3. Current State of MI EMT Certificate.
