Army veteran and businessman Mike Rogers, who is running for U.S. Senate and has received an endorsement from former President Donald Trump, has announced the formation of a senior leadership team for his “Faith Leaders for Mike Rogers” coalition.

“This campaign is built on faith, family, and freedom, and I will fight as your next U.S. Senator to defend those values every single day,” said Rogers. “We look forward to working with this all-star team of faith leaders to protect and defend the religious freedoms that make our state and country the 'shining city on a hill.’”

The group will focus on grassroots outreach within Michigan’s faith communities, fostering relationships, sharing Rogers’ platform, and mobilizing people of faith throughout the state. The coalition includes Alexandria Taylor (Detroit), Pastor Lorenzo Sewell (Detroit), Dr. Linda Lee Tarver (Lansing), Pastor Tim Cross (Muskegon), Pastor Brian Ford (Muskegon), Rep. Luke Meerman (Coopersville), and Sen. John Damoose (Harbor Springs).

Pastor Brian Ford of Muskegon expressed his support by stating: "I believe Mike Rogers is a man of faith, who has character and integrity! He is the kind of leader we need in the Senate, representing our great State of Michigan. I proudly endorse him for the U.S. Senate!"

Dr. Linda Lee Tarver from Lansing commented: “The Bible describes a small group of men who came to the aide of David (1 Chron. 12:32). The men of Issachar knew the times they lived in and knew what the people ought to do. My friend Mike Rogers is the man for the moment as he understands the times and the threats, and he is the only candidate who has the background, experience, and skills to meet the moment. It’s time for a leader who can work with President Trump to bring back jobs, keep our communities safe, and support working families. I wholeheartedly and unashamedly stand with my brother in Christ, Mike Rogers, for US Senate!”

Pastor Lorenzo Sewell of Detroit added: "Democrats have lied to us and failed Michigan for too long. It’s time for a leader who can work with President Trump to bring back jobs, keep our communities safe, and defend our faith. Mike Rogers came to our community and saw the devastation of Democrat leadership first hand. I’m proud to stand with Mike Rogers for U.S. Senate.”
