City of Charlotte hosts Public Hearing Notice on Monday April 3

A public hearing will be held on a proposed resolution to modify election years from odd to even for city elections beginning in 2026. This change would not affect the 2023 city election. The hearing is an opportunity for the citizens to express their opinions, support, concerns, or opposition, and to be heard by the Council. If you do not wish to appear in person, you may submit your response regarding the topic in writing to the City Clerk to be received on or before 12 p.m. noon on Friday March 31, 2023 by dropping off or emailing your submission to the City Clerk.

The public hearing will be held at the City Council meeting on Monday April 3, 2023 at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 111 E. Lawrence, Charlotte, MI. A copy of the proposed resolution is available for inspection in the front vestibule of City Hall, by clicking here: Odd to Even Year Elections, or you may request a copy by email to clerk@charlottemi.org
