The Michigan State University Distinguished Student Awards Office has put forward three students for the Udall Undergraduate Scholarship. This scholarship, sponsored by the Udall Foundation, provides financial support to students focusing on Tribal policy, Native American health care, and environmental issues. The foundation plans to award around 55 scholarships nationwide in 2024.

The nominees from MSU are all members of the Honors College. They include Kaylin Casper from Burbank, California, a second-year student double majoring in sociology and English; Jerome Hamilton Jr. from Baltimore, Maryland, a third-year political science (pre-law) student; and Meghana Karumuri from Farmington Hills, Michigan, a third-year microbiology major.

The Distinguished Student Awards Office at MSU is responsible for assisting both undergraduate and graduate students in pursuing significant national and international opportunities by offering information and direct support during the competitive application processes.
