On February 8, 2025, Rep. Slotkin commented on the judiciary's role in addressing concerns related to Elon Musk's influence, stating: "The courts are now stepping in as an important check on Elon Musk and the unlawful overreach of an unelected billionaire." She emphasized the importance of litigation as a tool to protect constitutional values.

A day later, on February 9, she reflected on her early days as a Senator and her commitment to connecting with various stakeholders by visiting the western part of Michigan. She noted: "36 days into being a Senator, and I wanted to be sure to get to the west side of the state." Slotkin highlighted discussions with city and business leaders at the Grand Rapids Chamber.

Continuing her engagement efforts on February 9, Rep. Slotkin visited Cherry Health in Grand Rapids alongside Rep. Scholten.
