Elissa Slotkin, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 7th district since 2019, recently used social media to address several critical issues. On April 28, 2025, Slotkin posted a series of tweets covering topics from Social Security to tax credits, illustrating her legislative priorities and continued advocacy for her constituents.

In a tweet posted on April 28, 2025, Slotkin reacted to comments made by Elon Musk, who referred to Social Security as a “Ponzi scheme” and questioned the impact of closing Social Security Administration offices. Slotkin expressed her disagreement, emphasizing the detrimental effects these closures would have on Michiganders.
