The Michigan Democratic Party has introduced a new campaign called “Price Hike Mike,” aimed at drawing attention to the economic policies of Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers. The campaign centers on claims that Rogers’ agenda is contributing to increased costs for families and businesses in Michigan.

According to the party, Rogers recently made comments minimizing concerns about inflation, saying, “Oh my gosh, coffee went up. You know, horror,” as reported by Heartland Signal. In response, the Democrats have launched a Twitter account (@PriceHikeMike) to highlight price increases on everyday items such as coffee and to attribute these rises to tariffs supported by Rogers.

The campaign also criticizes Rogers for his support of previous GOP tax legislation, which the party argues will increase living expenses and reduce health care coverage for many residents in the state.

“Mike Rogers is a Florida mansion-dwelling multi-millionaire who mocked hardworking Michiganders worried about rising costs — and he’s still delusional enough to think he’s entitled to their votes,” said Michigan Democratic Party spokesperson Joey Hannum. “We’re making sure Michiganders remember exactly who Mike Rogers really is: another out-of-touch politician pushing tax cuts for millionaires like himself and price hikes for everyone else.”
