The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has scheduled a public meeting to discuss an upcoming construction project on M-35 over Warner Creek, located north of Palmer in Marquette County. The meeting will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 6:30 to 7 p.m. at the Richmond Township Hall in Palmer.

According to MDOT, the session will include a brief presentation about the planned culvert replacement and associated detour, followed by an opportunity for attendees to ask questions. The department encourages interested residents, business owners, and community members to participate.

MDOT plans to invest approximately $3.6 million in building a box culvert at this location during the summer of 2026. During construction, traffic will be rerouted and efforts will be made to expedite the work.

Those requiring assistance for mobility, visual, hearing, written or other needs are advised to contact Orlando Curry at 517-241-7462 or CurryO@Michigan.gov preferably five business days before the meeting. Accessibility forms can be found on MDOT’s Title VI webpage; late requests will be considered as feasible.

Project updates and information will be available on MDOT's Mi Drive website and through social media channels.
