DTE Energy crews are scheduled to conduct overhead utility work south of Interstate 94 at Gratiot Road, near the Marysville Exit 266 in St. Clair County. This project will require a full closure and detour of I-94 for a 12-hour period on Sunday, October 19, 2025.

The closure will begin at 6 a.m. and is expected to end by 6 p.m. the same day. During this time, traffic on I-94 will be rerouted at Wadhams Road Exit 262 and Gratiot Road Exit 266. Drivers will follow a posted detour route that includes Wadhams Road and Gratiot Avenue.

According to officials, closing the interstate is necessary for safety reasons while overhead utility work is performed. "Closing the interstate during this type of overhead utility work is necessary to keep motorists and workers safe," the statement said.

Motorists traveling through the area are advised to plan for possible delays and follow all posted detour signs.
