Anne Minard, a 38-year-old resident of Bath Township, entered guilty pleas to two felony charges in the 30th Circuit Court in Ingham County. The announcement was made by Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. The hearing took place before Judge James Jamo.
Minard was originally charged in December 2024 with several felonies, including conducting a criminal enterprise. These charges stemmed from allegations that she misappropriated funds from three non-profit organizations and two political action committees associated with former Speaker of the House Lee Chatfield.
According to the Attorney General’s office, Minard pleaded guilty to embezzling between $1,000 and $20,000 from the Peninsula Fund, a non-profit or charitable organization. She also admitted to filing a false tax return. As part of her plea agreement, Minard has agreed to provide truthful testimony in future hearings.
The agreement also requires Minard to pay full restitution for amounts owed to the Michigan Department of Treasury.
Minard is scheduled for sentencing on December 3 in the same court.
