Permit utility work by Comcast on Interstate 496 at Grand Avenue in Lansing has been rescheduled and will now take place early Saturday morning, November 8. The work was originally planned for October 19.
The project will require intermittent lane closures on I-496 in both directions at Grand Avenue from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. Traffic control during the operation will be handled by the Michigan State Police. Drivers are advised to expect delays while the work is underway.
According to officials, closing the lanes is necessary to ensure the safety of both utility workers and motorists.
