Sen. Elissa Slotkin, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 7th district since 2019, addressed health care policy and veterans’ issues in a series of posts on November 11, 2025.

In her first post of the day, Slotkin emphasized her position on health care negotiations: "Since July, I have been clear. If you want my vote on a deal, it has to do something to bring down the cost of health care. Today, I joined @SenatorBaldwin and @SenSanders to force a vote on a one-year extension of the https://t.co/6af0Z7Wsqs credits." (November 11, 2025).

Later that morning, she marked Veterans Day with a message recognizing those who have served in the military: "Happy Veterans Day to all who served. From the veterans drafted into WWII, Korea and Vietnam, to those who put their hand up to volunteer since then, service is never easy, but it is so fundamental to keeping our country safe. To our veterans, thank you. Your blood, sweat and" (November 11, 2025).

That afternoon Slotkin posted about veteran services: "We have to think differently on how we encourage our veterans to sign up for services they’ve earned." (November 11, 2025).

Slotkin succeeded Mike Bishop as representative for Michigan’s 7th district in 2019 and currently resides in Lansing. She was born in New York City in 1976 and graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998.
