Rudolph Giuliani will be testifying in Michigan on Wednesday, Dec. 3, according to House Speaker Lee Chatfield (R-Levering).
If the President’s lawyer has proof of fraud, then it’s important that we listen to his testimony. That’s why the House Oversight Committee will hear from Mr. Giuliani. We want to see the proof,” Chatfield said in a Facebook post.
Michigan’s vote was certified on Nov. 23 with one Republican board member, Norm Shinkle, abstaining from the vote.
Shinkle has since been subject to death threats.
“The Michigan Legislature is the voice of the people, and we will not ignore the widespread reports of voting irregularities and errors,” Chatifled said. “We must continue to examine the election and vote counting procedures to protect the integrity of free and fair elections and ensure one person means one vote for this election and future ones.”
Several instances of voter irregularities have been alleged in Michigan during the Nov. 3 presidential election.
In Detroit, one city worker alleged she was instructed to violate election law while processing ballots.
“Election integrity still matters, regardless of whether you’re a Republican or Democrat. Our Republic only works if there is faith in the integrity of our election system,” Chatfield said.
