PUBLIC NOTICE: LIFTED Boil Water Advisory - W. Jefferson near Fitzgerald Park

City of Grand Ledge issued the following announcement on Dec 27.

Update: December 29, 2021 at 3:30 PM - The boil water advisory has been listed.

A water main project at Fitzgerald Park will cause a temporary water service interruption on Monday, December 27, 2021. scheduled to begin. Please refer to the following schedule for information regarding water service interruption and a boil water advisory effective Monday, December 27, 2021.

Please be advised that water service will be interrupted on MONDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2021, beginning at approximately 8:00 am due to water main and valve replacement. It is anticipated that water service will be restored by 5:00 pm. As a result, residents are advised that all tap water used for consumption should be boiled before use for a minimum of two days. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. 

  The City of Grand Ledge will be conducting testing to ensure that water is safe for consumption. Two consecutive water sampling tests are required by Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) 24 hours and 48 hours after water pressure is restored. Results of those tests are expected to be available on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 29, 2021. Residents will be notified when the tests indicate that water is safe for consumption or the advisory is extended.
